Kitchen through, Hawkes out in New York

The New Zealand squash players Shelley Kitchen is into the semi-finals of the latest WISPA women's tour event in New York.

The fourth seed beat the Englishwoman Dominique Lloyd-Walter 11-4,11-9, 11-4 in 28 minutes and now faces Australian favourite Rachael Grinham for a place in the final.

The American Natalie Grainger revenged her shock defeat to New Zealand's Jaclyn Hawkes in last month's World Open in England with a win in 24 minutes in their quarter-final rematch.

The second-seeded title-holder from Washington beat the seventh seed Hawkes 13-11, 11-7, 11-3.

Grainger will now face third seed Vanessa Atkinson in their semi-final.
