Ospreys won't say if they've been in contact with Wayne Smith

The Welsh rugby club Ospreys insist their search for a new coach goes on despite reports of an approach to All Blacks assistant coach Wayne Smith.

Reports have quoted him saying he has been contacted by the Welsh region.

But an Ospreys spokesman wouldn't confirm whether Smith had been approached.

Sean Holley and Jonathan Humphreys have been caretaker coaches with the Ospreys since the start of the season.

Smith, who has had experience coaching in the UK with Northampton, is contracted to the New Zealand Rugby Union until the end of next year.

He will arrive in Wales next week as the All Blacks prepare for their match against Wales at the Millennium Stadium.
