Victory by the Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh at yesterday's 8.3 million dollar Singapore Open has almost certainly denied New Zealand's Mark Brown the honours on the Asian money list for this year.

Brown had held a commanding lead for most of the year, but Singh yesterday outduelled two superstars, Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington in a thrilling finish to win the Singapore title by one stroke.

Singh is the first player on the Asian tour to win a more than a million US dollars in a single season, and it's the second time he's topped the Asian Money list.

Amateur Danny Lee, the only New Zealander to make the cut, tied for 32nd after a final round of 77.
