The All Blacks embark on the second half of their rugby grand slam quest this week after a disjointed performance over a dysfunctional Ireland side.
The precision which marks the All Blacks' game at its best was missing during a 22-3 win in Dublin yesterday and first-five Daniel Carter had a forgettable game with two easy penalty misses and a charged-down kick.
Carter's opposite number Ronan O'Gara was equally off-colour though and his erratic individual display typified the team's performance.
The All Blacks coach Graham Henry says while he's pleased with the result there's also frustration that a number of opportunities weren't taken.
Henry fielded his top team at Croke park and the rest of the squad will get a run against Munster on Wednesday morning.
The weekend's other tests saw the All Blacks' next opponents Wales struggle to beat Canada, Australa beat England 28-14, and South Africa came from behind to beat Scotland 14-10
