Wayward golfer John Daly, whose once promising career has degenerated into a sideshow, will play in the Australian Masters at Huntingdale next week.
Daly, who was recently put in protective custody overnight after being found drunk outside a restaurant in North Carolina, has had a controversial history in Australia.
In his last Australian appearance six years ago, he was disqualified from a tournament for failing to sign his scorecard after throwing his ball and putter into a lake.
A former USPGA and British Open champion, Daly has been without a US PGA Tour card since 2006.
