Fulton tipped to play in first test against Australia

The Canterbury batsman Peter Fulton looks set to play in the first cricket test against Australia, in the wake of the Black Caps ordinary batting effort in their only warmup game against New South Wales.

Coach John Bracewell called Fulton into the squad to cover for injury, and with the Gabba pitch traditionally pace-friendly, three pace bowlers should be enough, opening the way for Fulton who was called into the squad to cover for injury after he scored 27 and 64 for Canterbury against Auckland last week.
