Tony Woodcock to face IRB hearing

9:33 am on 18 November 2008

The All Black loosehead prop Tony Woodcock is to face an International Rugby Board disciplinary hearing in Dublin overnight and could miss the remaining Grand Slam tests against Wales and England.

Woodcock was sin-binned early in the second half when he punched Ireland's Rory Best in retaliation for jersey--pulling obstruction and later left the field later with a lower back muscle injury.

Al Black management have yet to say whether or not he'll be fit to play in Cardiff on Sunday morning, if the hearing decides the incident merits no further punishment.

The Ireland flanker Alan Quinlan has also been cited for stamping and the Pacific Islands' wing Napolioni Nalaga will face a hearing in Paris following his sending off in the match against France at Sochaux.
