The Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting's got plenty on his mind a day out from the first test against New Zealand and it has little to do with the Black Caps.
A stewing Ponting says he hasn't made peace with former captains Ian Chappell and Allan Border and has no plans to for quite some time.
He's denied he's ready to offer an olive branch to the pair following the outcry over his controversial tactics in last week's fourth Test in India.
Among the torrent of criticism over his decision to speed up the team's slow over-rate, instead of chasing a series-levelling victory in Nagpur, Ponting was hurt most by the comments of Chappell and Border.
The pair believe Ponting put himself ahead of the team's cause by bowling part-timers to ensure he wouldn't be suspended test against New Zealand starting at the Gabba in Brisbane tomorrow.
