The New Zealand under-20 women's football team conceded a goal in time added on to lose 3-2 to Nigeria in their opening match at the Fifa World Cup in Chile.
The Africans led 2-nil in the first half, but Ria Percival scored either side of the break to level the scores.
Both sides had chances to win the match in the last 20 minutes, but it was Nigeria who stole it 2 minutes into time added on on.
New Zealand still have group matches against Chile and England to play.
