The Kiwis forward Greg Eastwood says it was some strong words from coaches Stephen Kearney and Wayne Bennett at halftime which gave them the belief to come back and win the rugby league world cup.
Down 16-12 at halftime Eastwood says Kearney and Bennett told them the game would be won in the 15 minutes after halftime.
Teammate Benji Marshall who won the NRL premiership win West Tigers three years ago says the world cup win is a completely different level.
He says the injury problems he's had in recent times made the win all the sweeter and on top of that it's the first win he's enjoyed over Australia.
