The Australian cricket selectors have underlined their "horses for courses" policy by dropping Shane Watson from their 12 for the second test against the Black Caps starting on Friday in Adelaide, and recalling the Victorian pace bowler Peter Siddle.
Skipper Ricky Ponting also hinted that the new off spinner Jason Krejza would return to the squad for the Adelaide match.
Ponting says they need to expose more players to international competition before crucial series against South Africa and England.
