Oram in doubt for Windies series

The injury-plagued New Zealand cricket all-rounder Jacob Oram could miss the Black Caps home series against the West Indies next month after breaking a finger in a provincial match in Hamilton yesterday.

Oram suffered a hairline fracture to his left index finger attempting a catch playing for Central Districts against Northern Districts.

It was Oram's comeback game from a back injury suffered in Bangladesh over a month ago.

He's suffered at least five broken fingers during his career, but he said yesterday if the swelling went down he was keen to be involved in the final three days of the match in Hamilton.

New Zealand's first test against the West Indies in Dunedin starts on the 11th of December.
