Australia complete innings rout of New Zealand

Australia's beaten New Zealand by an innings and 62 runs in the second cricket test in Adelaide, to win the series two nil.

The loss sees New Zealand slip from seventh to eighth on the world test rankings.

Starting the fourth day at 35 for none and still 230 runs behind Australia's first innings of 535, the Black Caps lost opener Aaron Redmond to the second ball of the day and lost a further four wickets for the addition of just 48 runs to to go to lunch at 83 for five.

A defiant unbeaten 84 from Brendon McCullum was the only highlight of the innings, with New Zealand dismissed for 203.

Jamie How made 28, Aaron Redmond 19 while Jesse Ryder,Ross Taylor and Daniel Flynn and Peter Fulton all failed to reach double figures.

Brad Haddin, who scored his maiden test century, was named man of the match while Michael Clarke was named man of the series.
