The New York Giants player Plaxico Burress has appeared in court in New York after accidentally shooting himself in a Manhatten nightclub.
He faces weapons charges after a witness reported hearing a popping sound and then saw Burress' leg shaking and a bloody pistol fall from his pants.
If convicted, Burress could face 3 1/2 to 15 years in jail.
