The champion jockey Michael Walker returns to race riding today at Matamata having made an amazing recovery from serious injury.
Six months ago Walker suffered severe head injuries in a pig hunting accident in remote King Country bush.
Walker won last season's jockey's premiership despite missing the last two months of the season.
