Breakers beaten by Crocs

5:08 am on 5 December 2008

The Townsville Crocodiles have ended the New Zealand Breakers six-game winning streak in the Australian National Basketball League, with a 104-88 victory on the North Shore.

The Crocs' outplayed the Breakers in most aspects of the game with the homeside somewhat flat.

An out-of-sorts Kirk Penney managed 24 points for the Breakers, failing in all 5 three-point attempts, while Oscar Forman maintained his accurate form with 16 points including four long bombs but there was precious little support from the rest of the roster.

Penney says they shot the worst they've shot all year.

However he says they can't get down on themselves... they'll take the 2 week break to recover and get ready for the next battle.

The Breakers are now second in the standings behind the South Dragons.
