Canterburry have come up with the deposit to play in next year's National Basketball League.

Canterbury, Hawke's Bay and Otago failed to come up with their entry fee earlier this week, but were given an deadline extension of today to pay the initial 5 thousand dollar deposit.

NBL chairman Sam Rossiter-Stead says the Canterbury Rams paid their money, but they've also received a proposal from a rival outfit in Christchurch.

He still expects to hear from Hawke's Bay and Otago by 5 ocklock.
