The Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has been banned for four matches and fined 40 thousand dollars by the Football Association for his part in a fracas at Chelsea in April.

The French international was involved in an incident with a member of Chelsea's groundstaff during a warm-down on the pitch after the Premier League match had ended.

His ban comes into force on the 22nd of December.

Chelsea were fined 68 thousand dollars by the FA which ruled the employee, Sam Bethell, had conducted himself in a disorderly fashion.
