Dual Commonwealth Games gold medallist dies of cancer

The dual Australian Commonwealth Games marathon gold medallist Kerryn McCann has died of cancer.

McCann won gold in the marathon at Melbourne two years agon and in Manchester in 2002.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in August last year while she was pregnant with her third child.

She finished a course of chemotherapy in January this year but was then diagnosed with a secondary cancer in her liver.

Kerryn McCann was was 41.
