The famed novelist Paul Gallico is to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in the United States.
Gallico was a sports writer for the New York Daily News and the creator of the Golden Gloves boxing tournament.
He famously sparred with Jack Dempsey - and was knocked out in two minutes - to write a column about what it was like to be hit by the heavyweight champion.
He also wrote the "Poseidon Adventure" and the children's story the Snowgoose
He died in the 1976.
