The Italian sailing team Luna Rossa will take part in the 33rd Americas Cup race with the backing of Prada boss Patrizio Bertelli.
Luna Rossa have not actually officialised their participation although they have until December 15th to do so.
It will be the fourth successive time the Italian team takes part in the world's oldest sporting event.
With Luna Rossa's inclusion there will be four Italian teams in the competition, joining Argo, Mascalzone Latino and Green Challenge.
When the next America's Cup will be sailed is yet to be finalised.
