Bad light brings play to early halt in first cricket test

Bad light has brought play to an early halt on the first day of the first cricket test against the West Indies with New Zealand 226 for four.

Test history was made when Daniel Flynn became the first New Zealand batsman to be given out by the umpire referral decision, given out lbw by the television umpire for 95 after the on field umpire initially gave him not out.

Flynn is the Black Caps topscorer with Jesse Ryder unbeaten on 54 and Brendon McCullum on 4, after opener Tim McIntosh made 34 on debut, Jamie How made 10 and Ross Taylor 15.
