The former US Open golf champion Corey Pavin is the new captain of the United States Ryder Cup team.
The 49-year-old Pavin says the appointment is a dream come true and the biggest honour of his career.
Pavin played in the last US team to win on European soil, in 1993. The next match will be played at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales in 2010.
