The Warriors coach Ivan Cleary says if having two referees on the field in next year's National Rugby League competition cuts down the use of the video ref, then he's all for it.
The NRL Board has decided to introduce the two-referee model to the top flight NRL competition, with one official patrolling the play-the-ball area, with the other positioned on the 10-metre defensive line.
Cleary says the video ref is used far too often in the NRL and he hopes the two-ref system will address the problem.
He says the two-ref model should increase the speed and accuracy of the referees' decisions.
