Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting is confident his side is nearing top form ahead of the first Test against South Africa starting in Perth on Wednesday.
Ponting says Australia's 2-nil series victory over New Zealand has given his side a much-needed morale boost heading into the three-Test series.
Ponting says the Aussies are still ranked number one in the world and he expects the team to play a brand of cricket that will keep them at number one for a while to come.
