The West Indies have won the toss and decided to bat in the second cricket test against the Blackcaps starting in Napier today.

Jeetan Patel returns to the side in place of Mark Gillespie as New Zealand look for a second spin option on the hard Maclean Park pitch.

Kyle Mills gets the nod as the third seamer after a strong performance against the Windies in the first test in Dunedin.

Play is scheduled to get under way at midday.
