England fight back on day two in Mohali

The England batsmen will looking to repay a strong performance by their bowlers on the third day of the second cricket test against India in Mohali.

England will begin its reply to India's first innings of 453.

India lost nine wickets for 133 runs following a post lunch collapse on day two.

Earlier opener Gautam Gambhir top-scored with 179 and Rahul Dravid stroked 136 for his 26th test hundred, notching India's highest second wicket partnership of 314 runs against England.

Spinner Graeme Swann, playing only his second test, triggered the slump by dismissing both set batsmen.

Swann took three wickets for 10 runs in the afternoon, returning three for 122.

All-rounder Andrew Flintoff took three for 54.

England openers Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook walked out to face nine overs left in the day, but play was called off due to bad light.
