Squash New Zealand has secured the 2010 World Women's Team Squash Championship.

The biennial World Squash Federation event will be hosted at SquashGym Palmerston New Zealand's largest club, in late November 2010.

The 2010 Championship Chairman Grant Smith says the organiders want Palmerston North to become New Zealand's Squash capital, the same as Manchester and Adelaide are in Britain and Australia.

New Zealand has four women in the world top 50, led by current world No10 Shelley Kitchen.

They finished fourth in Egypt this year and should field a strong team, led by manager Dame Susan Devoy.
