The former All Blacks coach John Mitchell has had his powers as head coach of the Western Force Super 14 side curtailed, amid speculation about his future.
A statement from the Force says Mitchell is still coach of the side but while an inquiry into issues between Mitchell, other coaching staff and players is carried out, there'll be restrictions on his role as head coach.
What those restrictions are, Rugby Western Australia won't say, adding there won't be any further comment until the inquiry which is being carried out by a retired judge is completed.
The statement does however reveal Mitchell, coaching staff and players have been involved in mediation talks.
