English Premier League football leaders Liverpool beat Bolton Wanderers 3-nil at Anfield to reach the halfway stage of the season a point clear of Chelsea.
Robbie Keane scored twice for Liverpool to put them back on top after Chelsea had earlier beaten bottom club West Bromwich Albion 2-nil at Stamford Bridge with goals from Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.
Carlos Tevez struck a late goal to give Manchester United a 1-nil win at 10-man Stoke City as United moved up to third spot, Aston Villa are 4th after scoring late to snatch a 2-all draw with 5th placed Arsenal at Villa Park.
There was a remarkable incident at Manchester City where the home side raced into a 4-nil halftime lead against Hull City before eventually winning 5-1.... the Hull manager Phil Brown ordered his team to stand in front of the away supporters at the start of the halftime break and gave them a public dressing down before allowing his players to return to the dressing room.
In the other games West Ham United came from behind to win 4-1 at Portsmouth while Fulham drew nil-all at home to Tottenham Hotspur.
Everton won 1-nil at Middlesbrough, while Wigan Athletic beat Newcastle United 2-1 and Sunderland drew nil-all with Blackburn Rovers.
Liverpool lead the table with 42 points, followed by Chelsea on 41. Manchester United, who have two games in hand on the top two, are third on 35 with Aston Villa, fourth on 35.... Arsenal have 32.
Stoke, Blackburn and West Brom are the bottom three.
