Central top one day cricket competition

The inform Central Districts side has scored an 82-run victory over Wellington in Nelson to become the only unbeaten side in the State Shield one day competition.

Also leading in the first class competition, Central were well led again by captain Matthew Sinclair who made 92.

Defending champions Otago were beaten by 9 wickets by Northern Districts in Alexandra and Canterbury beat Auckland by 3 wickets at Eden Park.

So after 2 rounds Central have 10 points, Canterbury 6, Northern 5, Wellington 4, Otago 2 and Auckland no points.

In round 3 matches on Tuesday Cantral play Otago, canterbury play Northern and Wellington play Auckland.
