Sydney FC coach still upbeat despite growing losing streak

The coach of the Australian A League football side Sydney FC, John Kosmina , is maintaining a positive front as his side's mounting losses put the club's finals chances and his job under serious threat.

Sydney fell to their third straight defeat against Melbourne, 3-2, at Telstra Dome on Saturday night and have now won just one of their past eight games.

But Kosmina, who said after his side's 4-1 loss to Perth Glory last round that his side had "battered" the Glory for much of the game, maintained that their form was once again better than the result suggested.

He says his sixth-placed side - who entered the season as championship favourites - were showing signs they could still turn their season around and play finals.
