Turnovers a worry for Silver Ferns coach

7:57 am on 19 August 2010

The New Zealand netball coach Ruth Aitken says the amount of possession the Silver Ferns turned over in their 58-35 win over Jamaica in Christchurch last night is a major concern.

Following the cakewalk against Samoa two weekends ago the Ferns took time to adjust to the physical style the Jamaicans before dominating their opponents, eventually winning by more than 20 goals.

However Aitken is well aware the side must control possession for longer periods of time to challenge for the gold medal in Delhi.

The Silver Ferns play the second and final match of the Jamaica series in Napier on Saturday.
