The Commonwealth Games Federation President Mike Fennell has started a 2-day inspection of Delhi as concerns remain about the readiness of the Games.

The buildup to the event has been plagued by problems with just 46 days until the opening ceremony.

A number of venues are yet to be finished and work has been hampered by heavy monsoon rains.

Earlier this month an Indian anti-corruption body reported it had found a host of problems with construction work including use of poor quality materials.

The BBC's reporter in Delhi, Mookesh Sharma says there's much concern amongst the Indian public that the Games could be a major embarrassment for the country.
