All Blacks' final Tri-Nations match close to World Cup

5:16 am on 21 August 2010

The All Blacks will next year play their last Tri-Nations test less than two weeks before the World Cup kicks off.

With 2011 being a World Cup year the Tri-Nations will be a shorter format with New Zealand, Australia and South Africa playing each other twice, rather than the current three times.

The All Blacks' first game will be against South Africa in Wellington on July 30th, with the All Blacks and Australia playing the last game in Brisbane on August 27th.

The World Cup kicks off on September 9th when the All Blacks play Tonga at Eden Park.

Next year's Tri-Nations tournament is also the last time it'll be a three-way tournament with Argentina set to join from 2012.
