The K2 women's crew of Lisa Carrington and Teneale Hatton has made New Zealand's only 'A' final at the kayak World Championships in Poznan.
It's also the first time a New Zealand women's crew has made an 'A' final.
The year's major improvers recorded a personal best time for the K2 500 metres of one minute and 42 seconds to place second.
Ben Fouhy, Erin Taylor, the men's K2 and both the men's and women's K4 all failed to make their respective 'A' finals.
