The New Zealand basketballers have beaten Russia 67-65 in a pre-world championship tournament in Croatia.
It's a turnaround from the Tall Blacks' 89-76 loss to Russia in another pre-world championship tournament in Slovenia last week and young forward Tom Abercrombie credits their improving defence as the difference.
Jordan are up next for the New Zealanders.
