The Springboks captain John Smit says the 29-22 Tri-nations rugby loss to the All Blacks in Soweto will haunt him for years to come.
The All Blacks scored a thrilling last minute try through replacement Israel Dagg to seal the win and the Tri-nations title after the most evenly contested match of the tournament so far this year.
The Springboks captain missed a crucial tackle on Ma'a Nonu before the second five set up Dagg for an unmarked run to the line and Smit is blaming himself for the loss.
