The women's world 800 metre champion, Caster Semenya, has run a season's best time of one minute and 59.9 seconds in Berlin, to easily win her third race back afetr being cleared to race after undergoing gender tests.

The international athletics body only cleared Semenya to race again last month, but she looked comfortable at the World Challenge meet, and dipped below two minutes for the first time since coming back.

Semenya says her goal was to run under two minutes, and was pleased to achieve that goal in Berlin, where she won her world title last August.

She says she's happy with her progress leading up to the Commonwealth Games.
