NZ wins bronze medal at triathlon team world champs

New Zealand's won a bronze medal at the world triathlon team championships in Switzerland, despite missing top athletes.

Ryan Sissons, Tony Dodds, Kate McIlroy and Nicky Samuels finished third behind back to back winners Switzerland and France.

Leading triathletes Andrea Hewitt, Bevan Docherty and Kris Gemmell were unavailable.

Each team was made up of two men and two women with each athlete completing a 275-metre swim, a six kilometre bike ride and a one and a half kilometre run.
