The International Cricket Council has announced a shortlist of five players for the People's Choice Award category at the ICC Awards which take place in India in October.
The short-list includes Australia's Mike Hussey, Mahela Jayawardena of Sri Lanka, the England captain Andrew Strauss, India's Sachin Tendulkar and South African AB de Villiers.
The award, which has been included for the first time, will be chosen by cricket fans around the world who now have a chance to vote for their favourite player until September the 10th on the website www.lgpeopleschoice.com.
