Young Black Sticks win bronze at Youth Olympics

The New Zealand girl's hockey team has won bronze at the Youth Olympics in Singapore, beating Korea 5-4 in the Bronze Medal Match.

Korea came back from 4-1 down to tie the score 4-all in the 69th minute, with the game going into extra time before New Zealand's Michaela Curtis scored the golden goal.

The Young Black Sticks Rhiannon Dennison scored three goals for New Zealand in the bronze medal win, making her the top scorer in the tournament.

It was New Zealand's fifth medal at the games, with a certain sixth medal awaiting tomorrow when boxer Joseph Parker competes for gold in the super heavyweight class.
