FIFA dismiss North Korea witchhunt claims

FIFA has dismissed allegations that North Korea's football coach and the team were publicly shamed for losing all three of their games at the World Cup finals in South Africa.

FIFA says it's been assured by the North Korean football association that no such witchhunt took place on the team's return, and no sanctions were imposed on the coach or the players.

Radio Free Asia and South Korean media had claimed the coach and his team were forced onto a stage at the People's Palace of Culture in front of 400 government officials, students and journalists, and shamed for six hours.
