Bay of Plenty have beaten North Harbour 39-29 in Rotorua in the last match of round five of the provincial rugby championship.
Bay of Plenty led 20-12 at half time and scored 6 tries to 4 with Lelia Masaga getting a hat-trick.
Earlier Hawke's Bay scored the only try of the match as they beat Manawatu 17-9 in Palmerston North.
It was the Bay's first win of the competition, while it was Manawatu's 5th straight loss.
Southland remain unbeaten at the top of the standings after 5 rounds with 21 points, Wellington have 19, Taranaki and Canterbury 18, Counties Manukau 15, Auckland 14, Waikato 13 and Bay of Plenty 12.
