New Zealand Cricket says it is confident the ICC will act swiftly and decisively to protect the international game's reputation and integrity after the arrest of a man in London on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud bookmakers.
But it says it has nothing more to say until there has been a full briefing from the game's international governing body.
The ICC says its Anti Corruption and Safety Unit is helping police in London where Pakistan's captain Salman Butt and strike bowlers , Mohammad Aamer and Mohammad Asif have been questioned.
Police interviewed them after the arrest of a man on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud bookmakers during the Test match against England at Lord's.
The arrested man is believed to be cricket agent Mazhar Majeed, who is reported to have been bailed without charge.
