Court could overturn A-league's diving ban

Football Federation Australia's crackdown on "diving" in the A-League could be the subject of court action after two players were banned at the weekend under new rules.

Perth Glory, whose striker Michael Baird was one of first players to be banned, are considering legal action against the FFA which denies players appeal rights under the new rules.

Once the match review panel has made a decision, players can not challenge a guilty finding, or a resultant mandatory suspension, though they can challenge the mandatory penalty for an offence.
