Aitken not happy with a new umpire

The Silver Ferns coach Ruth Aitken is less than impressed that they'll have a new umpire in tonight's second netball test against Australia in Wellington.

Ferns captain Casey Williams was critical of the umpires in the first test loss in Adelaide saying they were allowing too much over-defending in the shooting circles.

South African Annie Kloppers, who officiated in the first test, will be joined by Joel Young-Strong of Trinidad and Tobago, for tonight's second match, having only just arrived in the country.

Aitken says Young-Strong didn't see the opening match and it wasn't ideal that a newcomer was taken charge of what could be the series decider.

She says that's just the way it is and they have to look to control the controlables and get on with the job.

The two umpires were at New Zealand's training session yesterday communicating with the players on how they'll be running tonight's game.
