Warriors to play Titans in NRL final one

9:01 am on 5 September 2010

The Warriors will face the Titans at Gold Coast in Friday's first National Rugby League final, following Saturday night's 26-12 win at Parramatta.

The result, combined with the Sydney Roosters only beating the Cowboys by 10 points at Townsville, means the Warriors pip the Roosters to finish fifth on the NRL ladder to face the fourth-placed Titans in the first of the NRL finals series.

The Sydney Roosters will play third-placed Wests Tigers after their 18-8 victory over the Cowboys, while the Panthers locked up second place with a 50-12 hammering of Cronulla at Penrith, Kiwis backrower Frank Pritchard scoring a hat-trick.

Penrith will play either Canberra or Manly in Saturday night's other qualifying final.

Manly can lock up the trip to CUA Stadium with a win over the Bulldogs at Brookvale Oval today. South Sydney remain in the equation but need Manly to lose while the Rabbitohs must beat the Dragons and overcome a 10-point gap in points differential with the Sea Eagles in the process.

That would see the Bunnies play at St George Illawarra for the second time in a week as eighth place winners.
