The Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic, has shown he's a serious contender for the US Open title, following his third round 6-1 7-6 6-3 win over the American James Blake in New York.
The number three seed had looked out of sorts in his opening match at Flushing Meadows, when he was forced to five sets by compatriot Viktor Troicki..
But despite being taken to a second-set tiebreak by Blake, Djokovic rarely looked in danger of conceding a set, despite tough conditions.
Djokovic says it was a big mental struggle to try and find a way to adjust his game to combat the strong winds, but was pleased with his patience.
Djokovic will meet another American, the 19th seed Mardy Fish, in the round of 16.
