Argentina and England through to Hockey semis

3:47 pm on 5 September 2010

Argentina and England have qualified for the women's hockey World Cup semi-finals with a match to spare, and will face-off in two days time to decide the Pool B winners.

The hosts Argentina, who beat China 2-0, have a maximum 12 points, while England, 2-1 winners against South Africa, are sitting on 10, five points clear of third-placed South Korea.

The Black Sticks, in Pool A, will play Australia in their next match on Monday morning, in the hope of improving their second-from-bottom pool standing.
